

Dr. Park's Background
Dr. Peter Hyohaeng Park was born in Tokyo, Japan. He is of Korean
heritage (hence Park). However, his Japanese name is Takayuki which
he still uses on occasion, and he is fluent in both written and spoken
Japanese.
Schooling and Medical Training
Dr. Park came from Japan when he was 10 years old to Los Angeles.
He attended schools in Los Angeles until he left for college. He
attended University of Chicago for undergraduate studies (BA in
chemistry) and continued on to medical school at University of
Chicago's Pritzker School of Medicine.
After finishing medical school, Dr. Park entered University of California
at Davis' family practice residency program and completed it in 1997
after which he became board certified in family practice.
In Practice
After finishing residency, Dr. Park worked in other parts of the country
before returning to California. While working in other parts of the
country, he gained experience in traditional family practice as well as
urgent care, hospitalist service, and HMO administration.
Dr. Park returned to Los Angeles area in 2002, and he practiced for a
Japanese clinic with locations in Little Tokyo and Orange County.
There, he practiced traditional family medicine as well as corporate
medicine providing corporate physicals for such companies as
Mitsubishi, Toyota, Canon, Wakunaga, Tokyo Electron, etc. He also
started to make house calls to patient's residence as well as to hotels
for emergencies.
Since fall of 2004, Dr. Park has opened his own practice in Los Angeles
situated between Korea Town and Little Tokyo. He is on medical staff
at Temple Community Hospital and makes frequent visits to Keiro
Nursing Home to take care of his elderly patients. He is also very
active in making house-calls to patients which is a rarity in modern
medical practice.
Recently, he was joined by his lovely wife in his office where she has
become his indispensable assistant.
